What gets me about this, aside from the fact that he also brought some hand tools == as if to possibly remove the door from its hinges if needed? -- is the way he says, "Sorry, I thought my girl was in there." "My girl," because he owns her. If that little scallywag tries to escape, why, he has every right to chase her down with a machete. This is real life for some woman out there.
