To be clear, the #MeToo Movement is not my business. The #MeToo Movement is by, for, and about African-Americans. There was a brief time when it got co-opted by everybody and their mother, and that was kind of disastrous, and then it died down. So I wish them well from a polite distance.
But comedian Michelle Wolf, on the other hand, wanted to go on tour with Dave Chapelle and Louis CK. So she needed to push somebody under the bus to get in good with the mean boys. And not surprisingly, she chose rape survivors, the women who have no friends in society. The Daily Beast: Michelle Wolf Slams #MeToo Movement in Netflix Special "The special’s second episode, for example, focuses on both identity and on #MeToo, which Wolf calls “the worst-run movement I’ve ever seen.” " I'm willing to bet she doesn't know it's run by Tarana Burke. "Much of Wolf’s material poignantly points out the hypocrisy white women enact in a society that can often encourage their sense of victimhood, lest they discover and embrace their true power (as she labels it, “Karen-ing”). “Waiting until a couple summers ago to realize that things have been bad for Black people is like needing to see that documentary to know that SeaWorld is bad,” she says at one point. “Like, ‘Did you know whales shouldn’t live in the sink?!’” " Maybe Michelle Wolf only found out things were bad for black people last summer. That's about her. I don't appreciate being lumped in with women like her under the "Karen" label because she's overprivileged and also wants to make money abusing rape survivors by touring with Dave Chapelle. Her irony detector must be failing. "But on other topics, like #MeToo, the comedian’s comments start to feel less considered and more incendiary. During one joke, she sums up #MeToo supporters’ position by saying, “Doesn’t matter what you did. You could have raped somebody or accidentally whispered into a boob. It’s all the same, and you have to die.”" Actually that didn't happen. Can she give some examples of people who were disproportionately punished? No, and she doesn't have to. She's playing to Dave Chapelle's audience now. "Wolf says she “was so frustrated by [#MeToo], because I think we genuinely could have made social change." WE? Does this broad have a mouse in her pocket? Is she a sexual assault survivor? I'll give that a hard no. She's clearly not part of the #MeToo Movement. And as a white rape survivor she's no friend of mine. I'll invite her to fuck straight off, thanks. "We could have made things better for women and men, but we fucked it up from the very beginning.” Again, WE fucked it up? What exactly did she do? How did she contribute, other than being willing to tour with professional rape troll Dave Chapelle and his buddy Louis CK? "There is, of course, a discussion to be had about how effective #MeToo’s general approach of punishing individual abusers has actually been in promoting justice or spawning long-lasting change. In 2021, for example, The Daily Beast’s Emily Shugerman spoke with insiders who alleged that Time’s Up had lost its way." That last paragraph is so incredibly wrong-headed I'll handle it in points, and then stop bothering with the whole mess.
I never thought I'd see the day when Michelle Wolf would make Jim Jeffries look like a class act, but here we are. I remember when Jim Jeffries apologized for having been a rape troll, as soon as the whole #MeToo thing got co-opted. And I thought it was really craven of him, so convenient. In hindsight I should have accepted his apology. Because down the road a piece, check out Michael Ian Black, who read the room and realized he could safely get attention for his dead career by coming out anti-#MeToo. Really even the rapists can all come back and it's fine. Just like Dave Chapelle lied all over his Elizabeth Smart jokes, so did Michelle Wolf. It will always be safe to be a rape troll in America.

![]() From the FBI press release: September 6, 2023 FBI Seeking Individual Who May Have Information Regarding the Identity of a Child Sexual Assault Victim The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance with obtaining identifying information regarding an unknown male who may have critical information pertaining to the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation. Photographs and an informational poster depicting the unknown individual, known only as John Doe 47, are being disseminated to the public and can be found at fbi.gov/wanted/ecap. Initial video of the unidentified male, John Doe 47, shown with a child were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in August 2020. The EXIF data embedded within the video files indicated that the files were produced prior to April 2020. UNKNOWN INDIVIDUAL - JOHN DOE 47 John Doe 47 is described as a Black male, likely between the ages of 18 and 25 years old. John Doe 47 could be heard speaking English in the video. Anyone with information to provide should submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov or call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324). The public is reminded no charges have been filed in this case, and the pictured individual is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. This individual is being sought as part of the FBI’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program (ECAP) initiatives, both of which represent strategic partnerships between the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Operation Rescue Me focuses on utilizing clues obtained through in-depth image analysis to identify the child victims depicted in child exploitation material, while ECAP seeks national and international media exposure of unknown adults (referred to as John/Jane Does) who visibly display their faces and/or other distinguishing characteristics in association with child pornography images. WAFB.COM They don't give a lot of details about this situation. Apparently the girl gave the police a cell phone number she said was this deputy's. Then he handed over his phone, and it matched the number she provided. She said he "talked sexual things." They reviewed it and found messages from him. I think he looks like Homer Simpson. In paramedic school they taught me a Latin phrase: "res ipsa loquitur," the thing speaks for itself. Is this woman his wife? Well, he's not supposed to be meeting her for a lunch quickie in the park in front of children playing. The bystanders began recording because the woman appeared much younger than the officer. The whole thing looked very suspicious. If she's not his wife -- and I'm spitballing here as a writer of true crime for survivors -- my next concern is that we're in Holtzclaw territory. If that's not his wife, then there's a very strong possibility that she's someone with drug or prostitution warrants who is meeting him up to do favors for him in exchange for not going to jail. That's commonly known as "the deal." And if they're doing "the deal," right out in the open in broad daylight like that, it leads me to suspect that Prince Georges County is the next Louisville, where Vice News noted A Pattern of Misconduct. One day over the rainbow, when I have a legal research budget, I will dig up a ton of FOIA requests. WJZ CBS News Baltimore has more details on the incident in question. Key points:
Please allow me to call bullshit on an adult male police officer spanking a toddler in a way that renders him unconscious because he bumped his head on the wall. Just no. First of all, he spanked the child for soiling his bed, which is a problem because the boy was 3, possibly still in diapers. Keep your monkey hands off of him, and also, turn in your badge and gun. The fact that he not only didn't face consequences, but they let him back on the force after that, is shame on his chain of command. My queendom for a FOIA budget. As this story develops, more information comes out. The woman in the video is allegedly his mistress. She's super classy, going at it with his wife on Facebook and having no problem disrupting public safety so she can get her groove on in a park in front of families. Remember honey, if you can take him from her, it's a matter of time before somebody younger takes him from you. Because really folks, public safety is a team sport. While police officers are working on self-service, they're not being team players, contributing to the work that constantly needs to be done by somebody. This is a bit of good news on a really disturbing case. Jonathan "Master" Lockett was convicted of luring sex workers for dates, then pistol whipping them, taking their phones, forcing them to give him oral sex, and other things. It was a total of 35 felonies.
It shouldn't have bothered me what his defense lawyer said, but it did. I'm sick to death of every rapist saying, "No, I didn't. She wanted it. It was her idea," the same old victim-blaming bullshit. Thank God for the people working on the rape-kit backlog. WVTM13: "Jefferson County's Sexual Assault Kit Initiative, or SAKI, team helped link Lockett to 14 sex crime victims. The team has been working for years to eliminate a backlog of 4,000 untested rape kits. Their research has helped identify more than 120 serial rapists, of which they argue Lockett is one of the worst. In addition to the sex crimes, Lockett is also charged with multiple counts of kidnapping, robbery and theft." I'm not mad at defense lawyers for doing their jobs. I don't want us to throw even guilty people into dungeons without having their defense in court. But the rape culture is so, so old and tired. He was found GUILTY on all 12 of the rape, sodomy and sexual torture charges so his attorney can suck it (consensually). So I'm glad this time it didn't work even though the women were drug users and sex workers. He faces a sentence of 20 years to life in October. Among all of the fine citizens who raided the capitol on January 6, I'm pleased to report that Enrique Tarrio, leader of the Proud Boys, has been sentenced. And high achiever that he is, he got the longest sentence of any of his cohort at 22 years. Suck it, Oathkeepers! They only got 18 years and they were physically present. Congratulations, Enrique, great job!!
Ideally I wish none of this would happen anymore. I wish people could stop with the creeper behavior altogether. But short of that, below is the most satisfying video I have seen in a long time. A young woman has left her job at a strip club. She's been followed by a guy in a white, fleet-looking SUV with a spotlight. She makes a few turns into an apartment complex to get away from him, and he follows her. She's parked and ducked down trying to hide from him. He pulls up alongside her and puts the spotlight on her. Says he's arresting her for DUI. She doesn't believe he's a cop and calls 911, at which point he flees. Interestingly, she doesn't seem to connect the dots between her job and his following her; the police officer immediately does. She believes she was followed out of a 7-11 and doesn't remember having seen him at the club. But the last thing the police officer says is basically "Imagine what would've happened if she would've gone along with his traffic stop." That's one of the things that made me really love this video. This isn't the way it was in my day. The cops were not playing with him. They talk to him about all of the available surveillance and plate-reader technology that will let them know if he was at the club where she works, or the apartment complex from where she called. Because when you see him, this is the exact sort of guy she wouldn't notice, even while he was very much noticing her. I did wonder about the possible DUI, which seemed maybe accurate to me. I was glad her father was clearly so supportive. The guy scared her but she's okay. Nothing actually happened except she got this guy off the road. Jeremy DeWitte, Jr. is now on the radar with both Sex Crimes and as a police impersonator in the area. But what I love the absolute most about this video, is the pure professionalism of the cops. They're so incredibly overwhelming for this twerp of a guy who couldn't even intimidate the apparently possibly tipsy stripper who called her dad, and when she cried, sounded like she was barely old enough to work at that club. He couldn't take her in a fair fight in daylight for sure.
Each of the cops is at least twice his size. The cops are in no hurry at all with the whole thing, just standing there eye-fucking him. They're not okay with either side of what they believe he just did there. They're very direct about not believing anything he says. They never call him a bad name or act racist or abusive in any way. It's pure ::mwah:: |
